We started off revising months of the year and sang the numbers song. We also ordered numbers from 20 - 31. We also learnt to say how old we are.

Today we were really lucky to welcome Emma and Chloe from Wildheart animal sanctuary. They came to talk to us all about the white tailed eagles which leave on the Isle of Wight. We learnt about the adaptations that eagles have to help them, for example their sharp beaks and talons which help them to catch and eat fish. We learnt that a white tailed eagle has a wingspan of 2.5m. We then did some art work based on white tailed eagles, creating a collage of the eagle based on the work of the artist Pete Cromer.

Year 3 - Spring Term - Gymnastics & Hockey 🀸‍♀️πŸ’

This week, Year 3 have mainly been focusing on hockey, while still incorporating elements of gymnastics in some lessons. We have continued to develop the key skills and dynamics of hockey, while also exploring different methods of invasion and tactical thinking by expanding their knowledge through indoor hockey. In gymnastics, students have begun to use a wider range of equipment and explore more varied ways to develop their routines. This has allowed them to experiment with new skills and techniques, helping to build confidence, creativity and control.
