French: Growing things: Ca pousse

 Year 3 started their new topic all about growing things. They listened to a song and learnt new vocabulary, focusing on plurals. The children also practised giving their opinions about different vegetables.

International day

 Ash class had a great time learning about Scotland for International day. We painted pictures of the Scottish national symbol which is the thistle and then created our own clans, including creating our own tartan, symbol and motto. 

Summer 2 Term - Year 3 - Athletics, Field Games & Dance

This half-term, Year 3 have been focusing on Athletics during their outdoor PE lessons. They have been developing their skills across a range of track events, including short, middle and long distance races, as well as participating in a variety of field events. Indoors, the children have been taking part in activities inspired by QuadKids, including Grand Prix style events that have helped to develop their speed, agility and overall athletic ability. Alongside Athletics, Year 3 have also been exploring a variety of striking and fielding games, including different styles of Rounders. We have also been fortunate to welcome a special guest from Australia, Ethan, who has been introducing the children to Cricket. Through these sessions, pupils have been developing their skills, understanding and appreciation of the sport.
